The 13th ASMOSIA meeting took place in Vienna, Austria between September 19 and 23, 2022 with a full-day after conference tour on September 24.

The topics of the conference dealt with the basic theme of ASMOSIA, which is the investigation of all kinds of stones in the interface of archaeology and natural sciences. Besides the exchange of experience, and knowledge the conference demonstrated progress and results in our field during the last years. In this sense the meeting offered a platform for discussion and reunion of the ASMOSIA “family”.
The venue was at the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien and its Ephesos Museum in the very centre of Vienna. The location offered elegant surroundings with an appropriate infrastructure in an imperial atmosphere.
